Bespoke New Build for a Private Client

This was one of the most enjoyable new builds we have taken part in.

Starting off with excellent drawings by DAC Architects, along with a trusted Structural Engineer this was always going to be a detailed project.

The building has a two storey section for living accommodation as well as a large open plan kitchen and living space. At the heart of this living space is one of the most complicated fire places we have ever constructed. A double aspect real open fire place, working in a modern air tight home.

The building is of traditional construction using brick, block, timber roof structures (both oak and softwood). A steel frame was used to form both roof structures due to their large open spans.

The home is very well insulated to assist with heat loss over the large hand made oak window frames.

Underfloor heating throughout with a high grade electrical and AV package.

The Oak frame was protected during the construction phase and finished by simply sanding back in-situ once water tight.

Thank you to all that helped with this project.
